HomBoo User Manual

HomBoo combines home budget, task management, shopping, and meal planning in one app. When you first open the app, you'll see a login or register screen After creating an account, you can invite members to your household or start using it alone.

🚀 Quick Start

   Download the app from the App Store or Google Play.

   Create an account or sign in with your existing account.

3. 3

   Create a household and invite members (optional).

4. 4

   Tap the budget card on the dashboard to enter your monthly income.

   Create your first task and assign it to a member. Great, you're ready!

💵 Adding Income

1. 1

   Open the Budget screen and tap "Add Income".

2. 2

   Enter the income amount and select a category (salary, freelance, rent, etc.).

3. 3

   Add a date and optional note, then save.

4. 4

   Your total income is calculated automatically and shown on the budget card.

💸 Adding Expenses

   Tap "Add Expense".

2. 2

   Enter the amount, category (grocery, bill, transport, restaurant, etc.), and date.

3. 3

   Optionally specify which member made this expense.

4. 4

   Remaining budget updates instantly. You'll see a warning if a limit is exceeded.

🏠 Fixed Expenses

1. 1

   Go to Budget Settings and select "Add Fixed Expense".

   Define your monthly fixed payments like rent, internet, electricity, insurance.

3. 3

   Fixed expenses are automatically deducted from your budget each month — no need to enter them again.

💳 Installment Tracking

   Tap "Add Installment" to define a new installment purchase.

   Enter the product name, total amount, number of installments, and start date.

3. 3

   Remaining installment count and payment progress are shown in real time.

4. 4

   Monthly installment burden is automatically reflected in your total budget.

➕ Creating a Task

   Tap the "+" button on the Tasks screen.

2. 2

   Enter the task title and description (e.g. "Wash the dishes").

3. 3

   Select the assignee, set the due date, and optionally a reminder time.

4. 4

   Save the task. The assignee receives a notification and sees it in their list.

🔄 Recurring Tasks

1. 1

   Enable the "Recurring" option when creating a task.

2. 2

   Choose the recurrence frequency: daily, weekly, or monthly.

3. 3

   When the task is completed, the next recurrence is created automatically.

🏆 Score System

   The assignee earns points for each completed task.

   You can compare weekly and monthly scores on the leaderboard.

3. 3

   This system encourages fair distribution of responsibilities at home.

🚗 Vehicle Records

   Tap "Add Vehicle" on the Home Ledger screen.

   Enter the vehicle brand, model, year, and plate number.

3. 3

   Add inspection, insurance, and maintenance dates. You'll get notified when dates approach.

🛡️ Warranty Tracking

   Tap "Add Warranty" and enter the product name (e.g. "Samsung TV").

   Enter the purchase date and warranty expiry date.

3. 3

   You'll receive an automatic reminder before the warranty expires.

📦 Inventory & Notes

   Record your home inventory (appliances, electronics, furniture).

   Use the free notes section to jot down any home-related information.

   Enrich records by adding photos.

📝 Creating a List

   Go to the Shopping List screen and tap "+".

2. 2

   Give the list a name (e.g. "Weekly Grocery", "IKEA").

   Add items one by one: product name, quantity, and optional category.

4. 4

   All household members can see the list; check off items in the store to remove them.

⚡ Quick Add

   Frequently used products are saved in the "Favorites" section.

   Add them to your list with a single tap from favorites.

📅 Building a Weekly Plan

   Open the Meal Planner screen. The days of the week are listed.

2. 2

   Tap any day to add meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

3. 3

   You can select a recipe from the library or enter the meal name manually.

   The plan is shared with all members — everyone knows what's being cooked that week.

📚 Recipe Library

   Browse existing recipes in the Recipe Library.

   Tap "Add Recipe" to add your own recipe.

3. 3

   Enter the recipe name, ingredients, preparation time, and steps.

   Favorite recipes can be easily transferred to the plan screen.

   Go to the "Savings" tab in the Budget screen or open the Savings Goals screen.

   Tap "Add Goal". Enter the goal name, total amount, and target date.

   Make regular contributions to progress toward the goal. Each payment is reflected in the progress bar.

   You can define multiple goals (e.g. "Vacation fund", "New laptop").

   Go to the "Debts" tab in the Budget screen.

   Tap "Add Debt". Specify who you owe money to, or who owes money to you.

   Enter the amount, date, and optional due date.

   When you make a partial payment, the debt amount updates. Mark it as complete when the debt is paid off.

   Open the Payment Calendar screen. You'll see payments in a monthly calendar view.

   Fixed expenses, installments, and debts are automatically reflected on the calendar.

   You can also add manual payments: tap "Add Payment", enter amount and date.

   You'll receive a notification when a payment date approaches.

📈 Weekly Report

   Open the "Weekly" tab from the Reports screen.

   See the total income and expense summary for that week.

   The weekly summary of completed and overdue tasks is also on this screen.

📉 Financial Report (Premium)

1. 1

   Open the "Financial" tab. Monthly and category-based charts are displayed.

   See your top spending categories in the pie chart.

3. 3

   Swipe to access reports from previous months.

4. 4

   Tap the share icon to export the report (Premium feature).

HomBoo automatically sends notifications in the following cases:

• 🔴

  Budget Limit Exceeded: You'll get an alert when you exceed the set limit in any category.

• 📅

  Upcoming Payment: Installment, debt, or fixed expense reminders 3 days before due.

• ✅

  Task Reminder: Notification arrives at the reminder time you set when creating the task.

• ⚠️

  Task Overdue: An overdue notification is sent for tasks past their due date.

• 🏆

  Weekly Summary: Every Sunday, the week's summary (spending + task performance) is sent as a notification.

Notification Settings

   Go to Settings > Notifications.

   You can toggle each notification type individually.

   Define quiet hours so you're not disturbed during certain times.

👥 Inviting Members

1. 1

   Go to the Members screen and tap "Invite Member".

2. 2

   Add a member by email address or invitation code.

3. 3

   Once the member accepts, you join the same household and access shared features.

🥇 Leaderboard

1. 1

   Open the Leaderboard screen. All members are listed in order of points.

2. 2

   Points are calculated based on completed tasks, on-time payments, and various contributions.

   You can switch between weekly and monthly rankings.

4. 4

   Tap any member's profile card to see their individual contribution details.
