1. Data We Collect
- Account information: email address and name. With Google or Apple sign-in, the name and email those providers share.
- Household data: member names, emojis and colors; tasks; income, expense, installment, savings and debt records; vehicle, warranty, inventory, note, shopping list and meal plan records; document photos you upload.
- Device data: a push notification token and your preferred language, used for instant notifications.
- Usage measurement: anonymous usage events such as screen views and basic actions via Firebase Analytics. Collected only where consent is not required or if you consent; not used for advertising ID or ad personalization.
- Advertising data: ads are served by Google AdMob; depending on your consent, AdMob may use device identifiers such as the advertising ID.
- Receipt scanning: the receipt photo you choose is sent through our server to the Google Gemini API to read the amount and merchant. The photo is not stored.
- Subscription information: Premium purchases are managed via RevenueCat. Your payment details are processed by the store (Apple/Google); we never see them.
2. How We Use Data
- Providing the app’s core functions (tasks, budget, household, reminders).
- Supporting household collaboration and instant notifications.
- Improving the security, stability and performance of the service.
- Showing ads and verifying purchased subscriptions.
3. Third-Party Services
- Supabase — authentication and data storage infrastructure.
- Sign in with Google and Apple — optional sign-in methods.
- Expo Push, Firebase Cloud Messaging and Apple Push Notification service — delivery of instant notifications.
- Google AdMob and Google User Messaging Platform — ad serving and consent management.
- Firebase Analytics — anonymous usage measurement.
- Google Gemini API — receipt scanning.
- RevenueCat — subscription management.
4. Consent and Your Choices
In regions such as the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland the app shows a consent form on first launch. You can change your choice at any time under Settings → Privacy options. If you do not consent, no ads are requested and no usage measurement is performed.
You can manage reminders under Settings → Notification preferences and instant-notification permission in your device settings. You can reset or limit your device’s advertising ID in the operating-system settings.
5. Data Security
Your data is stored on Supabase infrastructure and protected by row-level access rules that only allow the household’s members to reach it. Account security (keeping your password private) is the user’s responsibility.
6. Retention and Deletion
When you delete your account via Settings → “Delete Account”, your personal data is permanently deleted; a household where you are the only member is deleted too, while in households with other members only your membership is removed. When you sign out, your device’s notification token is removed from our server. You can also send a deletion request to our support email.
7. Children
HomBoo is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from them. Users under 18 should use the app under parental supervision.
8. Your Rights
You may contact us to access, correct or delete your data and to object to its processing. Your rights under KVKK in Turkey and GDPR in Europe are reserved.
9. Changes to This Policy
This policy may be updated; the current version is always published on this page and the “Last Updated” date changes.
